You’ve heard of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, but what about Giving Tuesday? As part of a global charitable giving effort, we’re inviting folks to take a breather from the spending frenzy and give back on Tuesday, December 2. Give to your congregation, presbytery, Special Offerings or a variety of national and international mission causes. Imagine the collective impact of 1.8 million Presbyterians working together on a single day to make a difference! Here’s how you can help us promote and support Giving Tuesday:
- Starting this week, through Dec 2, help spread the word about Giving Tuesday by sharing this link on Facebook and Twitter.
- Spread the news to your church friends – there are downloadable resources on this page: Presbyterian Mission Exchange
- Are you as forgetful as I am? Click this reminder app and it will automatically put a Dec 2 reminder on your calendar.
- Post of selfie announcing how you’re supporting Giving Tuesday. The movement unselfishly calls this an #UNselfie. Be sure to use #PCUSA. Our Special Offerings models have given you some examples, below.
