WOMEN EMPOWERED THROUGH SUSTAINABLE FARMING<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span>Naigaga Monica, a mother and farmer, serves as a Community Agriculture Trainer (CAT) in eastern Uganda. Supplied with improved seed and educated in new farming techniques, she increased her farm’s yield of corn and beans by 600%, greatly improving her family’s food and economic security. “Above all,” she says, “my children will no longer go to sleep hungry.” She and another CAT now support 58 other women as they work to improve their farms and lives.<\/p>\n
