Engaging the children of your congregation with the four General Assembly mandated churchwide Special Offerings has never been easier or more important. There are numerous ways children can connect with the Christmas Joy Offering. We have a number of resources available online to help you as you engage your young people.
This year’s curriculum was written by Jenna Campbell, a Certified Christian Educator serving as the Director of Children and Youth Ministry at First Presbyterian Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. This includes:
- Younger Children (grades K-4)
- Older Children (grades 5-8)
Through these lessons, children will discover God’s perfect gift of Jesus and consider how we can respond to this perfect gift by building God’s neighborhood. Jenna also wrote the Children’s Sermon which connects young people with those who are supported by the Offering.
Finally, invite the children of your congregation to help in putting together a Christmas Joy display, whether it be for their classroom or the sanctuary. Follow these easy instructions and you will have your very own Offering display in no time.
