As I’m sure you’re aware by now, we have a catalog.
This catalog offers tangible examples of the ministries supported by Special Offerings like One Great Hour of Sharing, Pentecost, Peace & Global Witness, and Christmas Joy.
What you might not know is that we are offering a new way to use the catalog this year.
We have heard from several congregations who host alternative giving fairs, providing opportunities to purchase the kinds of gifts that don’t clutter people’s homes. The kinds of gifts that make a difference to someone else who really needs it. In response, we created the Presbyterian Giving Catalog Activation Kit. These should be showing up in select congregations within the next few days. These kits will give you (almost) everything you need to promote these gifts in your congregation. You will receive:

Ornaments
These ornaments are my favorite part… members of your congregation are encouraged to choose a gift – either one of our more popular options or a write-your-own option – and show their pledge by placing an ornament on the tree we hope you set up in your church. This fun activity will allow everyone to get involved!
