Our neighbors in Haiti, so accustomed to dire poverty, are once again under the fire of deadly crises.<\/p>\n

Violent protests and rampant criminal activity have locked down most urban centers and villages across the country.<\/p>\n

Protesting deep corruption and embezzlement of billions of dollars from a fuel program, demonstrations are calling for President Jovenel Moise to step down. In addition, the people suffer under a major fuel crisis, food shortage, skyrocketing inflation and the devaluation of currency. Schools are closed and blocked roads and criminal activity are making getting out to find food and water difficult.<\/p>\n

And with the political unrest and lack of unity in protesting groups, there is no end in sight to this new season of misery.<\/p>\n

\n

Please join us in prayer for the people of Haiti,\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

that they find access to food, clean water and fuel,<\/p>\n

that they find an answer to the political stand-off that respects and cares for them all,<\/p>\n

that they find comfort and assurance in their own, constant prayers,<\/p>\n

that we all \u2014 citizens of the world \u2014 respect their autonomy and listen to ways we can continue to accompany and remain in solidarity with them,<\/p>\n

that they know without doubt that the world is inspired by their strength, courage and deep, deep faith in you, Lord.<\/p>\n

Praying all of this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n
