By Rev. Ellie Stock
Fire erupting, scorching the land,
cities flaming as the oppressed make their stand,
Enough is Enough! We will be free!—
no more 400 years of Wetiki: white supremacy mind virus cannibalizing and enslaving legally,
no more protesting, exhausting, mass incarcerating, lynching, grieving—too much pain,
Enough is Enough!—now hard blowing winds of change—
not for a while, a day or a week,
Emancipation now and forever for All, for you, for me.
Fire erupting, enraging the belly,
Passion engaging the will for dignity and parity,
Enough is Enough!—no justice, no peace,
no more waiting patiently, thank you, m’am and if you please,
no more silence, polite dialogue, masked white complicity,
Enough is Enough!—black lives mattering
not for a while, a day or a week,
Equality now and forever for All, for you and for me.
Fire erupting, kindling the heart,
Spirit igniting and uniting souls, poles apart,
Enough is Enough!—separation and fear,
no more hatred, systemic racism, schism and tears,
no more exploiting, warring—Pentecost firewinds of Love swirling, foundations shaking,
Enough is Enough!—the rotten is collapsing, new heaven and Earth building,
not for a while, a day, a week,
Justice now into eternity for All, for you and for me.

5/31 (Pentecost)-6/01/2020 (Birthday of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin: The task before us know, if we would not perish, is to shake off our ancient prejudices and build the Earth . . . Someday after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then for the second time humankind will have discovered fire.)
