Appearing alongside the Rev. Bill Davis, the host of “Leading Theologically,” noted author, musician and speaker David LaMotte continued building on themes of collaboration he laid down during a viral TEDx talk delivered by LaMotte and broadcast in July.
As the new host of “Leading Theologically,” the Rev. Bill Davis invited the Co-Moderators of the 226th General Assembly to pull their chairs close to the microphone for what would be a 34-minute wide-ranging conversation.
“You may not know it,” the Rev. Dr. Lee Hinson-Hasty of the Presbyterian Foundation told “Leading Theologically” viewers during his Friday interview with the Rev. Dr. Victor Aloyo, the 11th president of Columbia Theological Seminary, “but you’re just received a mini seminar on what it means to be a seminary president.”

Dr. Lee Hinson-Hasty of the Presbyterian Foundation, who has hosted 75 editions of the “Leading Theologically” broadcast, sat for an interview Thursday with the Rev. On Saturday the 225th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) voted to confirm the Rev. Dr. Tom Taylor’s re-election as President and CEO of the Presbyterian Foundation.
The Rev. Dr. Gayraud S. Wilmore and the Rev. Dr. Frank Yamada will receive Excellence in Theological Education awards at the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s 225th General Assembly this summer.
The numbers put up by The Pittsburgh Promise over the last 13 years are astounding: to date, the organization has funded higher education for 10,635 students, helping them attend 142 institutions by raising more than $160 million in scholarships. Students are awarded $5,000 in scholarships annually for their four years of post-secondary education, with a series of support systems in place to make sure they’re grounded even as they study toward securing a credential.
