Rural farming community in India becomes organic farming model

Rural farmers in India are celebrating the certification of Udaipur’s Gati village as Rajasthan’s first fully organic farming community. The designation will allow Gati to market its crops and products internationally. Nearly 300 farm families are covered by the designation as they seek to market crops such as wheat and corn.

Changing the way we think of suicide

Within a few days of my son’s death by suicide, a chaplain said to me, “You can’t stop people. If they are determined to end their lives, they will.” I could not fathom how that might be comforting news, but I was too numb to respond. Since that week, I have heard the same thing countless times.
