The Advocacy Committee for Women’s Concerns (ACWC) and the Office of Gender and Racial Justice are calling on Presbyterians to stand behind the commitment the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has made to seeking gender justice by joining the two groups in advocating for Senate passage of the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2021.
Citing longstanding Presbyterian Church policy, the Office of Public Witness (OPW) called Monday for people to contact their legislators in Congress and advocate for abortion protections.
With an increased number of state legislatures passing laws to severely curtail access to abortion, the Advocacy Committee for Women’s Concerns (ACWC) of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is compelled to advocate for continuation of safe, legal abortion rights nationwide.
