Program emphasizes importance of respite for Hispanic pastors

‘Our voices do matter’

Bringing Earth care to Hispanic-Latina churches

Representatives from various Hispanic-Latina churches were introduced to the Presbyterian Hunger Program’s Earth care programming this week as part of a series of educational talks called “New Year, Earth Renewed” or “Año nuevo, Tierra renovada.”

Edwin González-Castillo recalls Los Posadas and Three Kings celebrations where he and his friends would awaken people at 3 o’clock in the morning — even their favorite teachers weren’t exempt — with celebratory music of the season.
