Researching donor restrictions is the key to leveraging restricted funds

After skipping a meeting in April, the Coordinating Table came together with a purpose Thursday, agreeing by consensus to a plan for staff to begin identifying the restrictions on some of the 2,000 restricted funds set up as bequests over many decades and continuing the discussions required for presenting a unified budget, perhaps as soon as the 226th General Assembly in 2024.

After serving the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) for more than 26 years, the Rev. Dr. Rhashell D. Hunter has announced her plan to leave the Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA). Hunter has served as the Director of the PMA’s Racial Equity & Women’s Intercultural Ministries (RE&WIM) for the last 14 years.  She will leave at the end of April.

Moffett was the featured speaker during the church’s Women’s Day celebration. “We are your partners in ministry,” said the president and executive director of the Presbyterian Mission Agency. “God has called us to preach good news to the poor, recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”
