Committee seeks church input in Presbyterian Mission Agency Executive Director search

The Presbyterian Mission Agency Board committee that is searching for a new executive director of the Presbyterian Mission Agency wants to hear from all Presbyterians. The committee is seeking input not only from board members, mid council members and agency staff; it also wants input from those who teach Sunday school, deliver sermons, serve on committees and attend services at PC(USA) churches.

Focus on unity

The love of Christ goes hand in hand with a spirit of unity in Christ’s church, two PC(USA) officials told a recent gathering of Presbyterians. The Presbyterian Mission Agency Board and the Committee on the Office of the General Assembly were meeting in Puerto Rico at the invitation of the Presbytery of San Juan.

Advocacy committees voice concerns over proposed PMA Board representation

In a letter issued today by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Advocacy Committee for Women’s Concerns (ACWC) and the Advocacy Committee for Racial Ethnic Concerns (ACREC), the groups challenged a recent proposal by the Governance Task Force (GTF) of the Presbyterian Mission Agency Board (PMAB) to dramatically reduce the board size and remove formal representation in advocacy groups.

Ghost Ranch operations transfer from PMA to National Ghost Ranch Foundation

The Ghost Ranch Education & Retreat Center has transferred its operations from the Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA) of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) to the National Ghost Ranch Foundation (NGRF). The Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation established in 1972 to support Ghost Ranch as a ministry of the PC(USA), has been providing financial, operational, and volunteer resources for Ghost Ranch.
