PDA’s newest volunteer host site commissioned in Mississippi

Leland Presbyterian Church in Mississippi recently welcomed four members of the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) National Response Team as part of a commissioning ceremony for the church’s recently established disaster recovery volunteer host site as well as for the site’s coordinator.

One year ago Saturday, a deadly outbreak of tornadoes ravaged several states in the South and Midwest. Western Kentucky took the brunt of the damage from the storm, which took lives and destroyed homes and property, including the historic Presbyterian Church in Mayfield.
