A new partnership between the Presbyterian Young Adult Volunteer program (YAV) and the New Wilmington Mission Conference is expected to create ambassadors for both programs this summer.
For the first time in its 115-year history, the New Wilmington Mission Conference will meet online, July 17–19. Programming will be provided for all ages, and there will be no charge to participate in NWMC 2020.
“Pray for a new Sudan to come” was the heartfelt plea given by Dr. Aida Weran to the members of the South Sudan/Sudan Mission Network that recently met at the New Wilmington Mission Conference at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa. Weran is an instructor at Nile Theological College in Khartoum, Sudan, an institution that Weran described as being at the “crossroads of the violence.”

Dr. Joanne Sizoo, pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and coordinator of the Iraq Partnership Network (IPN), is requesting every city in Iraq be covered in prayer by congregations in the U.S.
The 112th New Wilmington Mission Conference (NWMC) is underway on the campus of Westminster College through July 29. This year NWMC welcomes its first woman director, the Rev. Virginia “Ginny” Teitt, organizing pastor of Concord Presbyterian Church in Marysville, Ohio. Teitt was hired Nov. 1 to fill the role of retiring director Dr. Donald Dawson.
The Rev. Donald J. Dawson retired October 31, 2016, as director of the World Mission Initiative (WMI) at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and the New Wilmington Mission Conference (NWMC). Regarded as the oldest annual mission conference in the United States, NWMC has been inspiring, calling, equipping and sending people to live out the great commission locally and globally since 1906. Dawson has directed WMI and the conference since July 2000.
