Two PC(USA) congregations receive historic preservation grants

Two Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) congregations — First Presbyterian Church of Fargo, North Dakota, and First Presbyterian Church of Taos, New Mexico — have been awarded matching grants from the National Fund for Sacred Places, a program of Partners for Sacred Places in collaboration with the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Presbyterian Publishing Corporation receives a $1.25 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc.

The Presbyterian Publishing Corporation has received a $1.25 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to establish a program called “Worship for the Whole People of God.” A variety of new resources will be created to help congregations as they engage children in intergenerational corporate worship and prayer practices. The program is funded through Lilly Endowment’s Nurturing Children Through Worship and Prayer Initiative. 

Stewardship Navigator portal celebrates five years of growth and success

A lot can happen in five years. Babies are born and start kindergarten. White House administrations come and go. We saw the pandemic shut down most of the world and greatly impact the way that churches function. And, this spring marks five years since the launch of Stewardship Navigator, an educational website launched by the Presbyterian Foundation.

$1.25 Million Grant will help fund a University of Dubuque Theological Seminary initiative to revitalize small churches

The University of Dubuque Theological Seminary has received a $1.25 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to help establish Plentiful Gifts: Nourishing Members for the Flourishing of Small Member Congregations. Through this new initiative, UDTS will partner with several judicatories to shepherd cohorts of small churches in seasons of transitions, without full-time pastors, to equip members to carry on being church through vital congregational practices.
