Presbyterians for Earth Care recently rolled out the first of nine monthly online sessions exploring “Let Justice Roll Down: God’s Call to Care for Neighbors and All Creation,” the 2024–25 Presbyterian Women/Horizons Bible Study. The leaders for the study, written by the Rev. Dr. Patricia K. Tull, Professor Emerita of Old Testament at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, are the Rev. M. Courtenay Willcox and the Rev. Lucy Youngblood.

The 2024 Churchwide Gathering of Presbyterian Women, an in-person first since 2018, is convening in St. Louis from August 8-11. It’s an event that celebrates the powerful impact of the women’s organization of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), offers an opportunity to meet or reconnect with PW participants from across the country, and also welcomes those who would like to learn more about growing, serving and leading though Presbyterian Women.

After conference musician Warren Cooper delivered a soothing version of “There’s Just Something About That Name,” those attending the Presbyterians for Earth Care conference heard a sermon Thursday by the Rev. Dr. Diane Givens Moffett, this time drawing on familiar themes from Esther 4:12-14 and 5:1-2.
