Linda Jacobsen announces retirement from the Board of Pensions

Linda Jacobsen, Executive Vice President, Engagement and Community Relations, has announced that she will retire from the Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), effective July 1. Her retirement from the Board marks more than 15 years of service to the Church both as an employee of the Board of Pensions and as a member of the agency’s Board of Directors during a time of transformational change.

Board of Pensions names the Rev. Lori Neff LaRue as Vice President, Education

The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has named the Rev. Lori Neff LaRue as Vice President, Education. Since joining the agency six years ago as Director of Board University, Neff LaRue has greatly expanded well-being support for members of the church benefits plan, including throughout the Covid crisis, when she reimagined educational offerings to provide support remotely.

Board of Pensions names the Rev. Dr. Douglas Portz as Vice President, Church Relations

The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has named a longtime servant of the denomination to the position of Vice President, Church Relations. The appointment of the Rev. Dr. Douglas Portz, most recently a Senior Church Consultant at the Board, bolsters the agency’s ongoing efforts to provide strength and stability to support the changing Church.

The Board of Pensions appoints the Rev. Dr. Jerry L. Cannon as Vice President, Ministry Innovation

The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has appointed the Rev. Dr. Jerry L. Cannon as Vice President, Ministry Innovation, effective Nov. 1. The appointment of Cannon, most recently pastor and head of staff at C.N. Jenkins Memorial Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, one of the largest Black congregations in the PC(USA), strengthens the agency’s commitment to serve more and serve better in support of a changing Church.
