On Saturday the 225th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) voted to confirm the Rev. Dr. Tom Taylor’s re-election as President and CEO of the Presbyterian Foundation.
Two days before commissioners to the 225th General Assembly will elect their successors, the Co-Moderators of the 224th General Assembly, the Rev. Gregory Bentley and Ruling Elder Elona Street-Stewart, took to the Being Matthew 25 airwaves to discuss, among other topics, what they’re praying for during the lead-up to the Assembly, which begins Saturday.
It fell to Mid-Kentucky Presbytery to set sail on a shakedown cruise Monday with the just-out-of-the-box technology that will be used during the hybrid 225th General Assembly, which begins June 18.

A half-hour Facebook Live broadcast highlighting Mission Responsibility Through Investment served to both look back at how socially-responsible corporate engagement efforts are helping to reduce climate change and look ahead at what’s in store during the 225th General Assembly.
Meeting via Zoom Monday, the Committee on the Office of the General Assembly joined with the boards for the Presbyterian Mission Agency and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), A Corporation, to approve proposed unified budgets for 2023-24.
The Rev. Cathy Chang, a mission co-worker serving in the Philippines since 2015, was shocked on April 11 when she found stickers and a tarpaulin with her photo affixed to the front gate of her home with accusations that she is a “Supporter of Terrorist CPP-NPA-NDF” and threatening her to “get out of our country.”
The Presbyterian Mission Agency Board spent more than two hours in closed session Thursday undergoing boundaries training put on by the Minnesota-based LeaderWise consulting firm. Part two of the training for board members is slated for Friday afternoon, again in closed session.
