Unification Commission gets to the work of determining how and when the Presbyterian Mission Agency and Office of General Assembly will be one

The 12-member Commission to Unify the Office of the General Assembly and the Presbyterian Mission Agency held its first meeting via Zoom on Saturday. Members — six of them pastors and the others ruling elders — discussed the scope of the task before them and some of the deadlines that will mark what could be a four-year journey together.

Representatives from Palestine, nations in Latin America and the Caribbean, 20 universities and academic institutions from four continents and several church bodies including the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) convened in Santiago, Chile Nov. 4-11 to participate in a conference addressing the theme of Christian Zionism and religious, political and economic fundamentalisms.

As the historic, hybrid 225th General Assembly (2022) came to order on June 18 in the newly renovated conference center at 100 Witherspoon Street in Louisville, Kentucky, it was in no way business as usual.

Board of Pensions issues Board Bulletin for summer 2022

The Board of Directors annual meeting formally moved the Board of Pensions into the next chapter of transformation. A new, 14-member class of directors, elected by the 225th General Assembly (2022), arrived ready to share a rich, diverse set of gifts.
