Registration is now open for Stewardship Kaleidoscope

Annual conference will be hybrid for a second consecutive year

LOUISVILLE — Registration has officially opened for Stewardship Kaleidoscope, an annual conference offering outstanding plenary speakers, informative workshop leaders, provocative worship experiences and unparalleled networking opportunities for all who are passionate about stewardship and generosity.

Scheduled from Sept. 26-28, the in-person program of this year’s hybrid conference will be held in Savannah, Georgia.

Drawing leaders from across the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and other ecumenical partners, Stewardship Kaleidoscope is designed to ignite generosity in faith-based communities, give practical tools for cultivating generosity in congregations, expand the leadership capacity of those who lead stewardship initiatives, and cultivate adaptive approaches for funding Christ’s mission.

“Conference participants can count on Stewardship Kaleidoscope to provide ‘real tools for real ministry’ to help participants explore stewardship in its many colorful dimensions,” said Maggie A. F. Harmon, ministry relations officer, Southwest, for the Presbyterian Foundation, who, together with Robert Hay, Jr., senior ministry relations officer, co-chair the 10-member conference planning team.

Featured speakers this year will be best-selling author A.J. Jacobs, the Rev. Dawn Hyde, Dr. Michael Bos, the Rev. Kathryn Johnston and others.

Jacobs’s published work includes “The Know-It-All: One Man’s Humble Quest to Become the Smartest Person in the World,” “The Year of Living Biblically: One Man’s Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible,” and “My Life as an Experiment: One Man’s Humble Quest to Improve Himself,” among numerous other books and publications.

Hyde is the head pastor at Downtown Church, a PC(USA) congregation celebrating 10 years of worship in Columbia, South Carolina. Bos is a pastor, author, interfaith proponent, family guy, and adventure seeker. He has written two books with co-author Dr. William Sachs, “A Church Beyond Belief: The Search for Belonging and the Religious Future” and “Fragmented Lives: Finding Faith in an Age of Uncertainty.” Johnston is a teaching elder currently serving as senior pastor/head of staff at Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

For everyone’s safety and comfort, conference organizers will be observing recommended COVID-19 safety protocols for in-person attendees as applicable at the time of the conference. Early-bird pricing will be available through July and a limited number of scholarships are available.
