Presbyterian resource stores consolidate

The new consolidated PC(USA) Store brings all church resources together in one place.

LOUISVILLE – The Church Store and the PC(USA) Store are consolidating into one easy-to-use, customer service-focused online fulfillment center at pcusastore.com. The new site goes live on Sept. 1.

Those who have used either or both websites to purchase curriculum or resources in the past will find few changes — everything will now be in one location with one website and a single phone number for customer service.

The Presbyterian Mission Agency, Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, Office of the General Assembly  and Presbyterian Women collaborated on this project to make locating and purchasing church resources more convenient.

“We recognize the challenges our constituents faced when looking for a specific resource,” said Tony De La Rosa, interim executive director for the Presbyterian Mission Agency. “It was because of this that we turned our focus to how agencies could work together to improve the user experience.”

This project originated from the 2012 General Assembly review of the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, in which one of the eight recommendations stated:

“…that a comprehensive and collaborative review be undertaken by all agencies involved in publishing to determine if there is duplication of services and resources that does not serve the mission of the church as effectively as possible, and that PPC initiate such a review.”

Each of these agencies and Presbyterian Women produces a variety of materials every year. “Presbyterians are served by having a variety of resources.” said Marc Lewis, president of Presbyterian Publishing Corporation. “Now they will be able to access them with ease.”
