LOUISVILLE – The Presbyterian Mission Agency’s (PMA) Board of Directors today announced that interim executive director Tony De La Rosa has resigned and David D. Crittenden will succeed him as acting executive director.

“We are very grateful for Tony’s service and dedication to the Presbyterian Mission Agency,” said Ken Godshall, chair of the PMA Board of Directors. “We wish him the very best.”

Crittenden currently serves as the Stated Clerk of the Presbytery of Ohio Valley. Crittenden also served as the Interim Director of Ecclesial Ministry for the Office of the General Assembly and as Transitional Synod Executive for the Synod of Lakes and Prairies. He is very familiar with PMA, having served as the Director of Stewardship from 2010 to 2013. He previously served on the staff of the Synod of Lincoln Trails for sixteen years, including ten years as co-executive. Prior to the synod, Crittenden served as pastor for fifteen years in Indiana and Illinois, and five years as an associate pastor in Nebraska. He has served as a Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church for more than 40 years.

“Throughout my life, God in Christ has called me to each position I’ve served in the Church, and I am honored to answer this call. I am looking forward to sharing the mission of Presbyterians worldwide. We are the hands and feet of Christ as he works in the world,” said Crittenden.

The PMA Board of Directors is currently working with Boardwalk Consulting to conduct an intensive and thoughtful search for a permanent executive director. More information on the search can be found on our website.
