Now available in both Spanish and Korean, the Presbyterian Giving Catalog is in its seventh year. Since its inception, more than 43,500 gifts have been made through the catalog.

LOUISVILLE — Now in its seventh, record-breaking year, the Presbyterian Giving Catalog — which offers a wide variety of gifts that provide real and positive impact around the world — has just debuted in Spanish and Korean.

“No matter the language a Presbyterian speaks, we know that we share common commitments to Matthew 25 ministry, like those supported through the Presbyterian Giving Catalog,” said Bryce Wiebe, director of the Presbyterian Giving Catalog for the Presbyterian Mission Agency. “We are excited that these resources will allow the Giving Catalog to join the ministries of Presbyterians whose preferred language is Korean or Spanish.”

Available for immediate download, the newly-translated 2020-2021 edition in Spanish and Korean features the catalog’s most popular opportunities for donors to provide aid for refugees, give communities access to clean water and help to end hunger.

“Because Hispanic and Korean Presbyterians are as much a part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as any of the other member congregations,” said the Rev. Lemuel Garcia-Arroyo, the Presbyterian Mission Agency’s mission engagement advisor for the South region, “they are deeply committed to supporting Presbyterian mission. Whenever the church offers materials in Korean and Spanish, the church visibly demonstrates that it honors and celebrates the cultural and linguistic heritage of its members, allowing our Hispanic and Korean congregations to generously support the church they love.”

Since it was first published in 2013, more than 43,500 gifts have been given by congregations and individuals through the Presbyterian Giving Catalog. Now that the catalog is available in Korean and Spanish, that number is only expected to grow.

“As Presbyterians join together to become Christ’s church in the world,” said Garcia-Arroyo, “the Korean and Spanish translations of the Presbyterian Giving Catalog provide further opportunities for our siblings in Christ to give using the language closest to their heart.”

Now is the time to unite with thousands of others using the Presbyterian Giving Catalog to support the ministries closest to their hearts: feeding the hungry, comforting the brokenhearted and sharing our faith with young and old. Give today by clicking here.
