The Presbyterian Foundation has partnered with the Presbyterian Mission Agency to support #GivingTuesday. This global day of giving harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy, celebrate generosity and provide people everywhere with an opportunity to give more, give smarter and give great.
Held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday – Nov. 29 this year – #GivingTuesday kicks off the holiday giving season and inspires people to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
With religious organizations receiving 40 percent of all donations on #GivingTuesday. this fifth annual event offers Presbyterians worldwide the opportunity to support the work of their congregations and favorite Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) ministries such as the Christmas Joy Offering; Compassion, Peace, and Justice; World Mission; 1001 Worshiping Communities; the Presbyterian Historical Society; or Living Waters for the World.
The Foundation’s online giving platform – Presbyterian Mission Exchange – offers a trusted and reliable method to make gifts to all these ministries and all PC(USA) congregations in one place. The Foundation also provides materials and resources to help congregations promote this giving day to members and supporters at PresbyterianMissionExchange.org/givingtuesday.
