‘Following the Star’ Advent devotion is now running

LOUISVILLE — “Hope is the assurance of God’s faithfulness – period” proclaims the first devotional entry in the online resource “Following the Star.”
The Advent- and Christmas-themed resource is a part of d365.org. It features scripture, prayer, music and meditative thoughts. Structured around five verbs — pause, listen, think, pray, go — the webpage and app take viewers through postures of spiritual reflection and action. Devotions include a worshipful element through hymn and carol arrangements from musicians Joseph Martin, David Burroughs, Clay Mottley, Mark Hayes and Rodrigo Rodriquez.
This year’s writers feature Presbyterian leaders Amy Kim Kyremes-Parks, Director of Formation for Children, Youth and Their Families at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Asheville, North Carolina, and the Rev. Michelle Thomas-Bush, Associate Pastor for Youth and Their Families at Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Following the Star” is part of the year-round ecumenical devotional website and app, d365, which is partially sponsored by the Presbyterian Mission Agency through the Office of Presbyterian Youth and Triennium which is excited that this year’s writers speak directly to a younger audience.

“d365” hosts devotions daily and three seasonal series for Advent, Lent, and an August series called Back2School. Daily devotionals are available each day of the year on d365.org and through free Apple and Android apps.
