Nineteen worshiping communities receive Mission Program Grants

13 are first-time Seed Grants awarded as new worshiping communities continue to reach those wounded by the church

LOUISVILLE — In its first grant cycle of 2022, on behalf of the Presbyterian Mission Agency, the Mission Development Resources Committee awarded 19 Mission Program Grants to worshiping communities — including $10,000 Seed Grants to nine communities who are just getting started.

MDRC also awarded two $30,000 Investment Grants and four $30,000 Growth Grants to worshiping communities who are maturing into a full expression of what the Spirit is asking them to become.

Mission Program Grants are made available through the Racial Equity & Women’s Intercultural Ministries of the Presbyterian Mission Agency. The grants support the transforming work of new worshiping communities and mid councils.

 The Sam and Helen R. Walton Awards, given to new worshiping communities of excellence to help cover capital expenses, will be announced at the Presbyterian Mission Agency Board Meeting April 27-29.
