EAST TEXAS — This summer, 1001 New Worshiping Communities ministry kin-dom community hosted its first kin-dom camp for LGBTQIA+ youth ages 12-17 living in Texas and other states in the Synod of the Sun.

Now as word spreads about kin-dom camp, leaders talk about how the camp came to be. In addition, youth and adult participants describe the deep impact kin-dom camp had on them.

As kin-dom community leader the Rev. Pepa Paniagua said, “I don’t think any of us anticipated the emotional joy” that came from their week together.
