LOUISVILLE — Flyaway Books announces the Tuesday release of the picture book “Brian the Brave.”
Written by best-selling author Paul Stewart, this timely picture book tells the story of a sheep named Brian who believes all of his fellow sheep can play together despite their differences. The book will help will prompt conversations about friendship, acceptance, and teamwork. “Brian the Brave” is ideal for children ages 3-7 and it features bright, playful artwork by illustrator Jane Porter.
“Stewart uses a group of sheep friends to relay messages of tolerance, acceptance, and nonjudgment,” says Kirkus Reviews. “The illustrations are distinctive and vivid; fans of Eric Carle will find the textured, collagelike pictures reminiscent of his classic work.”
