LOUISVILLE — Featuring the Rev. Shanea D. Leonard as keynoter, the Evangelism Conference set for Montreat Conference Center Oct. 30 through Nov. 2 will explore the theme “Addressing Harm, Embracing Hope.”
Leonard is the Coordinator for Gender and Racial Justice for the Presbyterian Mission Agency. Theology, Formation & Evangelism is sponsoring the conference, which is being held both in person and online.
Conference speakers and leaders include the Rev. Gregory Bentley, Co-Moderator of the 224th General Assembly; Phillip Morgan, Music Director at Central Presbyterian Church in Louisville; the Rev. Pepa Paniagua, founding and organizing pastor of kin-dom community, a fully affirming 1001 New Worshiping Community in Texas; the Rev. Dr. Cheni Khonje, of Georgetown Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C.; the Rev. Dr. Robyn Byrd Michalove of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, Texas; the Rev. Bruce Reyes-Chow, a speaker and author and the Moderator of the 218th General Assembly (2008); and the Rev. Rachel Hood Vogado, a pastor and artist.
