The Rev. Shavon Starling-Louis, Co-Moderator of the 225th General Assembly (2022), gathered with a group of young adult delegates and young adult volunteers (YAVs) at the close of the second day of the 67th Commission on the Status Women Tuesday to share stories and experiences as young adults in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). It was an open space with frank and vulnerable discussions, so the names of the young adults are not included in this report to respect them and their voices.
Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary has been awarded a $1 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to reimagine youth ministry through the Sun-Walking Fellowship, which is part of the Endowment’s Strengthening Congregational Ministry with Youth Initiative.
During the most recent edition of the Synod of the Sun’s podcast SunSpots, found here, host Thomas Riggs was sharing some favorite kin-dom camp memories with his guest, the Rev. Pepa Paniagua, the director and co-organizer of the week-long camp put on this summer for 58 youth who identify as LGBTQIA+.

On Monday, Avenue Church NYC welcomed the Rev. Robert Gamble, who does ministry in Ukraine validated by the Presbytery of Western North Carolina, for an extended visit throughout Holy Week.
