ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. – The 1001 New Worshiping Communities of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) will be live streaming sermons and plenary talks from its national conference here August 7-10 on its 1001 NWC Facebook page. The live streaming begins this evening during opening worship with the Rev. Juan J. Sarmiento’s message on “Living.”
“Living, Dying, Rising,” takes its scriptural theme, “I send you… receive the Holy Spirit,” from John 20:19-23. Some 200 conference goers will hear the story of the life of Christ and the Church—and be invited as leaders in the church to be “freed from fear” and “to journey confidently into new territory as missionaries of shalom.”
The 100 NWC team is excited to share these messages from the conference and future events to more of its leaders. “We realize travel is difficult for those who serve our new worshiping communities,” says the Rev. Sean M. Chow, Western Associate for Training for the 1001 New Worshiping Communities initiative. “That should not be a reason for them not to receive quality training.”
