On Saturday, the Moderators’ Conference closed just as it had opened on Friday — with worship led by the Co-Moderators of the 226th General Assembly, the Rev. CeCe Armstrong and the Rev. Tony Larson, with Armstrong offering up a sermon she titled, “Who Needs Jesus?” 
The Rev. Dr. Andrew Kukla, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Boise, Idaho, showed a picture of a stained-glass window from a different church. In the middle of the window, a red plant dominated the scene. 
Plans are already underway for the 227th General Assembly, set for June 23 through July 2, 2026, in online format for committees and in person for plenaries, worship and more at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 
In 2014, Ministry Education and Support within the Office of the General Assembly established a recurring monthly column called Regarding Ruling Elders which sought to address the particular responsibilities, experiences, and needs of those called to serve the church as ruling elders. Now, Regarding Ruling Elders celebrates its 10th year, a notable achievement amidst an ever-revolving door of resources, initiatives, and projects developed to support churches in the intervening years.
