Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary announces the appointment of Emalee S. Rose as the new vice president for the Office of Philanthropy & Stewardship, effective Sept. 1. 
At 2 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, August 15, the Presbyterian Mission Agency will host a webinar on Congregational Vitality, the first focus of its Matthew 25 movement. “We will delve into the PC(USA)’s Matthew 25 vision and the significance of vital congregations within our denominations,” says the Rev. Tony Oltmann, associate for the Office of Vital Congregations.

Nearly 60 members of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s national staff joined the Rev. Irvin Porter and Ruling Elder Carla Alexander of Brook Presbyterian Church in Hillburn, New York, Wednesday for an online chapel service celebrating the gifts of the world’s Indigenous population, estimated to be 476 million people living in 90 countries. 
Any self-respecting Christian seminary will teach its students that the Jesus sheep and goat story in Matthew 25 is a mandate to care for the less fortunate in society, including those in prison. 
“Miracles and Strangers: Responding to the Spread of Anti-Trans Theology” is the title of the 2023 Presler Lecture presented by Dr. Joy Ladin beginning at 4 p.m. Eastern Time Sept. 13 for both an on-campus watch party at the Winn Center at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary or via Zoom.
