Nashville Young Adult Volunteer site celebrates 15 years of ministry

Dozens of church members, presbytery representatives, partner agencies, current Young Adult Volunteers (YAVs) and program alumni were on hand June 26 as the Nashville YAV site celebrated 15 years of service to the community. PC(USA) offers prayers for Baghdad bombing victims

People survey the damage following a deadly bombing in Baghdad's Karada market. The Rev. Dr. Laurie Kraus, coordinator for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, offered prayers for those killed and injured in a massive car bombing that rocked the busy Karada market in central Baghdad yesterday. Unglued Church: A faithful response to church decline

The church had been experiencing declining membership, deteriorating facilities, and dwindling finances. While she hoped that she might bring new life to the congregation, she realized that couldn’t happen unless she talked about death and resurrection. Read more »

SDOP disburses more than $120,000 for self-help projects
