When members of Canfield (Ohio) Presbyterian Church began raising funds for a remodeling project and addition in 2008 they made sure 10 percent of the capital raised was reserved for mission activities. Several years later, and another remodel of existing facilities, the church opened its mission housing space to those engaged with area service organizations. Read more »

Office of Public Witness created a discussion and study guide titled, We Shall Not Be Moved – Advocacy in the New Age of Voter Suppression. The document, released today, provides individuals, church groups or classes, and pastors a resource to explore the history and context of systemic patterns of voter suppression in the U.S. Read more »

Herbert Nelson, Presbyterian World Mission and Presbyterian Women are working together to provide resources to churches that want to act as “Courageous Congregations” in October, Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Congregations are asked to speak about issues related to gender-based and sexual violence by preaching, teaching or holding a service of healing for survivors. Read more »
