The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s initiative, 1001 New Worshiping Communities, aims to plant 1,001 new congregations throughout the U.S. The effort has been notably successful, particularly in appealing to people who may not have had an interest in attending church previously and making new disciples of Christ.
