Eastern Europe Partnership Network (EEPN) Toolkit

The Eastern Europe Partnership Network is a PC(USA) mission network made up of Presbyterian churches and members in the U.S. with partnerships, connections and strong interest in the work of the church in the countries of Eastern Europe. Many of the network members have developed long-standing partnerships with Baptist, Lutheran, and Orthodox churches and organizations in Russia, and continue to maintain these relationships. The network is also seeking to expand its connections to other churches and church organizations in other parts of Eastern Europe.

Who’s this toolkit for?

Intended for churches and individuals interested in Christianity in Eastern Europe, this toolkit offers resources for learning and worship, suggested contacts for connecting to the network, and resources for short-term mission and study trips to the region. You will find insightful resources and practical tools to plan, prepare for, lead and participate in short-term, cross-cultural trips, and for discerning opportunities for an ongoing partnership.

Why engage with Eastern Europe Partnership Network?

For many Americans, the countries of what we call Eastern Europe, from Latvia in the North to the Baltics in the South, remain a bit of a mystery, shrouded for so many years “behind the Iron Curtain.” Each country has its own unique culture, history and language, but they have many traits in common as well, one being that Christianity plays an important role in their cultures. Engaging with the Eastern Europe Partnership Network can provide many resources and connections to help you and your church navigate the journey into this fascinating part of the world.
