Presbyterian World Mission accompanies the work and witness of the Latin American Council of Churches, which is an ecumenical organization comprised of 145 churches and associations from Latin America and the Caribbean. The council has provided a forum for the promotion of church unity, evangelization, theological reflection, ministerial formation, and action and response to social justice issues. The council provides significant leadership in the region for action and education in areas including health, climate change, gender justice, economic justice, and reconciliation. The council also has an active network which promotes liturgical renewal, and offers a valuable online archive of resources on church life and biblical interpretation, primarily in Spanish. While based in Quito, Ecuador, the council also maintains regional offices.
