DESCRIPTION:Join the global screening of the new\, award-winning film “The Ants & the Grasshopper.” The online watch party is on Thursday\, Oct 27th at 4:30 p.m. (PDT) / 7:30 p.m. (EDT) and we are honored to have Raj Patel\, film director and author of ‘Stuffed and Starved’\, on hand to introduce the film. [Film trailer] \nThis award-winning film features two women from Malawi\, Anita – an activist\, and Esther – from the Presbyterian Church of Malawi\, who come to the U.S. to let American farmers and politicians that climate change is real and how it is affecting real people. This is a great educational opportunity that aligns with our Matthew 25 vision\, illuminating the intersectional concerns about climate change and poverty. The evening is hosted by the Presbyterian Hunger Program and the Office of Public Witness. \nAll Presbyterians\, and especially Hunger Action\, Earth Care and Matthew 25 congregations\, are encouraged to join this online screening.
